The Life and Death of the Arts in Cities after Mega-Events
Neville Gabie has been invited as a guest speaker at the International Conference ‘The Life and Death of the Arts in Cities after Mega-Events’. The conference takes place form the 13-16th August 2014 at the Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, in Vancouver Canada. He will be speaking specifically about his time as the first artist in residence on an Olympic Park during construction in London leading up to the 2012 Olympic Games. He will also talk about his post-Olympic Project, ‘The Greatest Distance’ and his experience, both positive and negative about the impact of the games on London and the arts.
